Concessionary Membership

More than 23% of our total membership are concessions – students, disabled, unemployed, seniors, juniors or local residents – receiving discounts of up to 69% off the full price.

GP Referral Programmes

At our clubs in Hampstead and Westminster we run successful schemes where people referred by their doctor can receive one-to-one supervised exercise sessions at very low cost, in order to help treat specific medical conditions.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme

At The Armoury in Hampstead and Colombo Centre in Southwark we host Phase IV cardiac rehabilitation programmes run in conjunction with local hospitals.

Give it a Go

Working in partnership with NHS Camden, The Armoury was part of the Give it a Go campaign providing free gym access to local people on low incomes. Give It A Go 2 is due to start in 2012.

Seniors Activities

At several clubs we run a range of subsidised or free seniors activities including supervised exercise classes, badminton and bowls and tea dances, as well as regular social events.

Juniors Activities

We also run subsidised children’s programmes including school holiday sports camps, gymnastics and karate.

MEND – combating child obesity

With the help of Sport England and the Big Lottery, we have run dozens of  completely free MEND Programmes. The programmes focus on getting overweight children aged 7-13 fitter, healthier and happier.
