Our clubs

Covent Garden

Jubilee Hall Trust originated in 1978 as a community sports centre in the heart of London’s Covent Garden. Based in the Covent Garden Piazza on the first floor of Jubilee Hall Market, the building was originally designed in 1897 to house flowers, and was later used as a fruit and vegetable market up until the 1970’s when Covent Garden Market relocated to Vauxhall. The local community then developed the hall into a sports centre, thus creating the environment for the health and fitness club.

Hampstead

After operating the Covent Garden club successfully for 14 years The Armoury, an old Victorian Drill Hall in Hampstead, was taken on as a second club in 1992. The Armoury is now a thriving health and fitness club and remains at the forefront of development of our GP Referral and Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme

Westminster

In 1999, after a highly competitive tender process, we were awarded the prestigious management contract of the Westminster Gym in the House of Commons. Operating as a purely commercial club, the profits generated are used to underpin the community projects of Jubilee Hall Trust. Such was our success, that our contract has been renewed several times.

Southwark

In 2000 The Colombo Centre, joined in partnership with Jubilee Hall Trust to develop a fourth club, serving the community by providing health and fitness facilities and community programmes in Southwark. The centre and its surrounding area has been significantly re-developed in recent years and now offers 5-a-side football pitches, tennis courts and a large gym.

Active-8!

Individual donations are matched by Jubilee Hall Trust. This total is then matched by a senior sponsor. For the largest donors, individual commitment to the success of a specific local project is guaranteed.
