National Fitness Day gets everybody moving!

Friday 26th September saw the first UK Active National Fitness Day take place, with free ‘Power Half Hour’ exercise classes at thousands of health clubs and leisure centres across the country. The occasion was also marked by three ‘live’ events in Birmingham, Bristol and London, where members of the public could join in Les Mills Body Combat and Sh’Bam sessions delivered by master trainers.
The iconic Covent Garden Piazza hosted the London event and Jubilee Hall Trust staff led the way by taking part in each class alongside former Team GB athlete and celebrity personal trainer, Professor Greg Whyte. Free classes were also offered at all Jubilee Hall Trust clubs.
Run by not-for-profit health body ukactive, National Fitness Day sees the health and active lifestyle community unite to raise awareness of the benefits of physical activity, inspire people to get active and make it easy and fun to try something new.
