Tracking the difference we’re making
For 42 years our charity has been enriching the lives of people and building healthier communities across Greater London through the programmes and activities provided at our four centres.
We are all aware that physical activity can be used to change physical health, but new research is also showing it can improve overall wellbeing, boost educational attainment and even reduce crime. Therefore, in 2018 Jubilee Hall Trust embarked on a journey to discover a new way to measure our impact.
We began moving away from simply measuring the number of people visiting our centres and instead began focusing on the personal change we were creating. We call this the social value approach. Using evidence-based academic research from Sheffield Hallam University we can accurately measure and value the impacts of sports and physical activity.
Below is the first version of our new interactive social value dashboard which measures and reports on how the charity improves health, increases educational attainment and improves life satisfaction (subjective wellbeing). Your can also read or download the full report here.
