Jubilee Hall Trust paying London Living Wage
1st April 2014
Thanks to the hard work of their staff, Jubilee Hall Trust (JHT) has had an excellent financial year, and has been able to increase all salaries from 1st April 2014.
This year, the Trustees decided to increase the pay of their lowest paid staff to at least the London Living Wage (LLW), which is currently £8.80 per hour. The LLW is set independently and updated annually, and enables people the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families. It is supported by all political parties and the Mayor of London. JHT is proud to be one of the first leisure companies in the capital to become a London Living Wage employer.
For all other staff, the trust increased salaries well above the rate of inflation (at a time when inflation is 1.9%). Although leisure isn’t one of the best paid industries, Jubilee Hall Trust aims to be one of the best payers within it.
