NBA at Jubilee Hall

Jubilee Hall Trust has agreed a unique partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to hire Jubilee Hall in Covent Garden. The event means that the gym will be closed for 17 days from 5pm on Sunday 29th July, re-opening on Thursday 16th August at 7am.
The celebration of basketball will see the iconic Jubilee Hall building transformed into the ‘NBA House’ offering members of the public the opportunity to participate in basketball activities and other interactive games. The public will be able to get access between Friday 3rd and Sunday 12th August and the usual opening hours will be 10am until 6pm.
The partnership agreement will enable Jubilee Hall Trust to make a number of improvements to the facilities and equipment at the gym, as well as to fund a range of community programmes, which include dance classes for older adults and MEND programmes for obese children. In addition, Jubilee Hall Trust will be working with the ‘NBA Cares’ programme to execute six basketball skills clinics for disadvantaged young people over the following 18 months, providing a genuine legacy after this summer.
