Physical activity apprenticeship standards approved
1st September 2015
Jubilee Hall Trust is delighted that the two Trailblazer apprenticeships standards it has been developing with other sector employers working alongside the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) have been approved by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
The application process for the standards – personal trainer and leisure duty manager – were also supported by ukactive.
Phil Rumbelow, CEO of Jubilee Hall Trust, said:
‘A group of employers have been working very hard on this for a long time, and we are pleased that the Government has now approved our apprenticeship standards. This brings us closer to achieving the goal of delivering a highly skilled workforce for all employers in the sector so that we can successfully take on the challenge of getting more people, more active more often.’
Skills Minister Nick Boles said:
‘Businesses are better placed than anyone to train the next generation of workers and will help us deliver 3 million high-quality apprenticeships by 2020.’
