On Saturday 25th October, a group of nine staff from Jubilee Hall Trust took on the fearsome Tough Mudder assault course in Winchester. The 12-mile cross country run had more than 21 obstacles designed by special forces personnel with names like Leap of Faith, Everest and Fire In Your Hole, to test both mental and physical strength.
Jubilee Hall Trust Operations Director, Jon Giles, who took part alongside the charity’s Chief Executive, managers and staff, said:
‘The main principles of Tough Mudder revolve around teamwork. It is almost impossible to get round the course successfully unless you work together and that is an important reflection of our values at Jubilee Hall Trust. We made the commitment to help each other and, despite being dunked in ice-cold water and electrocuted several times – I’m not joking! – we started and finished as a team. ‘
The Jubilee Hall Trust builds strong healthy communities by promoting the fitness and wellbeing of the individuals within them. We make a measurable difference to the health and lives of people within our communities.
