Linda lived in Sheffield, later reading Law at Westminster University in London where she settled. The experience gained in working for the NHS, British Steel, various multinational and management consultancy companies, led to formation of her international executive search business specialising in the oil and gas industry, working extensively in Singapore, the Middle East, the US, and Scotland.

She enjoys public service work, has been a Non-Executive Director of several health authorities, and a large London Acute Trust. She was an Employer Member on the Employment Tribunals, where she was a founder member of the Employment Tribunal Members Associations, then its National Council. She was elected to Camden Council 2008-2014, holding the Shadow Environment portfolio. She is a trustee of several Hampstead charities and Chair of the Camden Chinese Community Centre.
